Cherokee County, AL. – A man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon in Cherokee County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the deadly collision happened around 1 p.m. on Alabama 35 near Cherokee County 782.

A 46-year-old man was driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra when he collided head-on with a 2024 Peterbilt tractor-trailer.

The man was transported to Atrium Heath Floyd Medical Center, in Rome, Georgia, where he later died.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
