60-Year-Old Man Dies in Parachuting Accident in Boulder County
A 60-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a parachuting accident in a field in Boulder County on Sunday afternoon.
First responders arrived at the scene and attempted CPR after finding the man facedown and unresponsive, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses reported seeing him fall rapidly from a height of several hundred feet, with his parachute not fully deployed.
The man was qualified for solo jumps and was located in the 10,000 block of North 75th Street in unincorporated Boulder County. His identity has not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the county coroner’s office, is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
