Grade Lane Closure Disrupts Local Businesses

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The closure of Grade Lane following a UPS plane crash continues to severely impact local businesses. Since the incident nearly two weeks ago, access to facilities has been restricted.

Adam Bland, President of Quantum Ink, reported that the company is now operating out of five different locations, including Houston, Texas, as they strive to catch up on over 100 delayed orders. “It has been an absolute logistical nightmare,” said Bland. “We're functioning on little sleep, but our team remains dedicated.”

Currently, all 55 employees have returned to work, some at the DPS warehouse and others at facilities in New Albany. Businesses across the area, including Cools restaurant, are also struggling with access issues and uncertainty regarding when Grade Lane will reopen.

Bland emphasized the need for clear communication from local authorities. “We've heard timelines ranging from one week to two months. Getting back into our building will significantly improve our operations,” he stated.

Local emergency services have been contacted for updates, but no information regarding a reopening timeline has been confirmed.
