Injuries Reported in DUI Crash Involving Three Cars in Lake County

Charges Filed After Lake County Crash Sends Three to Hospital

LAKE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) – Two Baldwin residents face charges following a multi-vehicle crash in Lake County on Friday, resulting in three people hospitalized.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 PM at the intersection of West 76th Street and M-37 in Pleasant Plains Township. Authorities reported that a vehicle traveling east on West 76th Street failed to yield to southbound traffic on M-37, initiating a chain-reaction collision involving three cars.

Deputies noted that the occupants of the first vehicle provided inaccurate information about the incident. Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor, according to law enforcement.

Jerry Tenbrink, 63, has been charged with operating while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license, with a bond set at $30,000. His passenger, 61-year-old Kaara Wyatt, is facing a charge for providing false information to a police officer.

The driver of the second vehicle was airlifted to a nearby hospital, while a passenger was transported via ambulance. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
