Fatal Crash in Lewiston Involves Two Vehicles and a Building
One person is dead and several others are injured following a motor vehicle crash in Lewiston on Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 1:10 p.m. on November 15, Lewiston Police responded to a collision on Lisbon Street involving two vehicles that collided due to an improper lane change, according to the Lewiston Police Department.
After the initial collision, a Ford F-150, operated by 70-year-old Lawrence Williams of Minot, struck a utility pole. A Jeep Wrangler, driven by Ronald Potvin of Lisbon, veered off the road and crashed into JD Cuts Hair Salon located at 1270 Lisbon Street.
Williams was found dead at the scene by emergency personnel. Several individuals inside the salon sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
Authorities closed Lisbon Street between Scribner Boulevard and Pleasant Street for the investigation but have since reopened the roadway.
