One Dead in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 60 in Lodi
TOWN OF LODI, Wis. (WKOW) — A two-vehicle crash on Highway 60 near Hillestad Road on Oct. 30 resulted in one fatality, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that both vehicles were traveling westbound when one attempted to pass several cars and collided with another vehicle turning onto Hillestad Road. Both drivers were trapped and subsequently transported to local hospitals.
One vehicle ended up on its side in the ditch. A 76-year-old man from Illinois succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 15.
Sheriff Roger L. Brandner expressed condolences, stating, “This is a tragic incident for all involved.” The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
