NOPD Investigates Fatal Crash in Algiers
NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a deadly collision involving a car and a motorcycle that occurred Saturday at the intersection of General Meyer Avenue and Sirley Drive around 5:30 p.m.
According to authorities, the crash resulted in serious injuries to one individual, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, that person later succumbed to their injuries.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. The intersection remains under investigation, and no additional details about the victims have been released.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area as lane closures may be in effect while the investigation continues. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
