Metro Transit Police Car Collides with Light Rail in Minneapolis
A Metro Transit Police vehicle transporting a suspect was involved in a collision with a light rail on Friday at approximately 5 p.m. at South 5th Street and South 5th Avenue in Minneapolis.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, both the officer and the suspect sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were subsequently taken to the hospital for medical treatment. No injuries were reported among passengers on the light rail.
