LOUISVILLE, Ky. — All southbound lanes on I-71 near Zorn Avenue are closed due to a deadly crash that occurred around 3:00 a.m. today.
According to LMPD, a truck driver collided with the rear of a semi-truck that was stationary on the interstate following an earlier rollover incident. The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the semi-truck driver was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Trimarc reports that the closure is expected to last approximately five hours. The LMPD Traffic Unit is currently investigating the incident.
