Plymouth Crash Leaves One Dead, Another Injured
PLYMOUTH, MA — An 18-year-old driver was killed and another teenager injured in a car crash involving an SUV on Route 3A/State Road Friday morning, according to police. The incident was reported around 8:25 a.m.
The driver of a Honda Civic was pronounced dead after being transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. Authorities identified him only as an 18-year-old from Plymouth. A 17-year-old passenger from Plymouth was also taken to the same hospital and is expected to survive.
The driver of the Jeep, a 47-year-old woman from Plymouth, was transported to South Shore Hospital. Her condition has not been disclosed.
Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage. Three people were involved in the crash, and officials are continuing to investigate.
Plymouth police closed State Road from Rocky Hill to Powerhouse Roads during the investigation.
