Tuscaloosa Pedestrian Fatality in Crash
TUSCALOOSA, AL—A 16-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash on Oct. 19, around 6:40 p.m., on Alabama Highway 69 near mile marker 133, approximately 12 miles south of Tuscaloosa.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the pedestrian was struck by a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck operated by Warner L. Rainer, 76, also of Tuscaloosa. The juvenile was in the roadway when the collision occurred.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
No other injuries have been reported, and currently, there are no lane closures. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
