70-Year-Old Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash Near White Sulphur Springs

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, MT — A 70-year-old woman from Martinsdale was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning on Highway 12.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after midnight at mile marker 48. The victim was driving a Subaru Forester eastbound when the vehicle veered off the right side of the road and rolled multiple times.

Authorities reported that the woman was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene.

Emergency responders arrived promptly, but the woman was pronounced dead upon their arrival. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash, and the highway was briefly closed for safety reasons and to conduct an investigation.

The Montana Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
