23-Year-Old Dies in Clarksville Car Crash After Drifting Off Road

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. — A 23-year-old man is dead following a crash in Clarksville on Tuesday night.

According to Indiana State Police, the incident occurred around 8:22 p.m. on Brown Station Way near Lewis and Clark Parkway. Authorities reported that the driver’s vehicle drifted across the fog line on the north side of the road, struck a raised curb, and continued west along the curb. The vehicle then veered off the road into a ditch, colliding head-on with a concrete culvert.

The driver, identified as Daniel Lee Wade Burns of New Albany, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and succumbed to injuries shortly after emergency crews arrived on the scene.

As of now, police have not disclosed any details regarding the possible cause of the driver drifting off the road.

An investigation is underway, with no further information available at this time.
