Indianapolis Driver Safety Advisory Amid Fatal Clermont County Crash
A 19-year-old passenger died in a crash in Clermont County on Oct. 24, according to authorities.
Natalie Gilreath, of Cincinnati, was in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado that veered off state Route 749 while heading eastbound around 3:23 p.m. The vehicle struck two utility poles and came to rest off the roadway, as reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Gilreath was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver and another passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both survivors were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Initial reports indicate that Gilreath was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident; it remains unclear if the other occupants were secured. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
