Greenville, N.C. – One person was killed in a car crash near Greenville on Thursday.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened on US 264 at Sunnyside Road.
A 75-year-old woman was driving a car across the intersection when she was hit by a car traveling east on US 264.
The woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver and a passenger of the second car were taken to ECU Health with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
